Santa Ana Suzuki Strings is an Urban Suzuki Violin program at in Santa Ana for children of under served families and children with special needs.OCCAC is located in the SA Arts District where it offers an After school Arts program which includes instrumental music, dance and Art classes in addition to its many wrap around services for families and children.SASS is designed to provide small group classes for children with their parents from as early as age 3. Along with other early child services Musical Parenting is a critical component. Our approach is to raise a child with a musical instrument as early as possible before they can be influenced by negative factors in their environment.To keep that child in school and give them the skills to participate in musical opportunities beyond his neighborhood students are also required to attend group lessons, music theory and labs in additions to violin classes. Experienced students will have the opportunity to perform in SASS and OCCTAC Ensembles as well as receive support for auditions in OC Youth orchestras.When ever possible SASS students also participate in OC Suzuki Association Activities.
