Providing scientific and technical support to the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE) and contributing to EU-funded projects management, with a focus on One Health and environmental policy. Main activities:• Providing strategic and scientific support to the Italian MASE in implementing international environmental and public health agreements,• Carrying out mandate in Science Diplomacy on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, serving as Italian Delegate to key multilateral environmental negotiations under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)(details in the section below: Science Diplomacy Assignments)• Contributing to the coordination and drafting of Horizon Europe research proposals on environmental health, urban resilience, and vulnerable communities,• Developing policy briefs and technical reports to inform national decision-making in alignment with EU and UN frameworks.Responsibilities include: Leading stakeholder coordination and managing interdisciplinary partnerships. Designing project frameworks, drafting proposals, and preparing detailed budget planning. Contributing to EU coordination meetings for the definition of common positions. Assisting technical working groups in the drafting of multilateral decisions. Analyzing negotiation documents and preparing final session reports. Science Diplomacy AssignmentsUpon request of the Italian MASE, I served as Italian Delegate to several high-level multilateral international negotiations under the UNEP, including- The triple Conference of the Parties of the Basel (COP 17), Rotterdam (COP 12), and Stockholm (COP 12) Conventions (Geneva, 2025)- The Open-ended Working Group (OEWG) sessions for the establishment of the new Intergovernmental Science-Policy Panel on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution (OEWG 3.1 – Geneva 2024; OEWG 3.2 & IM – Punta del Este 2025)- The OEWG 0.1 for the Global Framework of Chemicals (Punta del Este, 2025).
