With over 40 years of leadership in governance, ESG integration, and digital transformation, I currently serve as Director at the Instrumentation Automation Surveillance & Communication Sector Skill Council (IASC SSC). This industry-led body, under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, drives skill development and innovation in critical sectors.As former Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, I spearheaded the electrification of India’s railway network, implemented transformative digital innovations using IoT, and managed a $50 billion budget with a 1.2 million-strong workforce. Previously, as Director (Transport) at NCC Limited and Project Coordinator for the Asian Development Bank’s JFPR initiative, I advanced mobility and economic inclusivity projects. My global experience includes leading technology transfer for SMEs as Project Director at UNIDO’s International Centre for Advancement of Manufacturing Technology.Certified as a Digital Director, ESG expert, and BRSR specialist, I empower organizations to adopt sustainable practices and innovative governance frameworks. Having recently transitioned from NCC Limited, I am now a freelance consultant, focusing on strategic infrastructure, sustainable development, and corporate governance.
