ABOUT VINH CHUNG
I was born in South Vietnam shortly after the country fell. My family lost everything and fled as \"boat people\" in 1979. After days adrift with 92 others in a fishing boat, we were miraculously rescued by a World Vision ship and brought to Arkansas to start a new life.Despite poverty and a language barrier, I graduated from Harvard Medical School and then earned graduate degrees in pharmaceutical science and theology. I am the result of kindness and generosity of America and the American people.Today, I partner with World Vision serve the poor and vulnerable. I also co-lead a medical practice in Colorado Springs with my wife, Leisle Chung. Guided by faith, I strive to serve our patients, community, and world with humility, excellence, and integrity—giving my best for the least of these.
