About Vineet Priyedarshi
I am a fourth-year undergraduate Computer Science student at Bangalore, with a focus on technology and innovation. With a strong foundation in computer science principles, I am dedicated to applying my skills in innovative and impactful ways. I’ve had some incredible hands-on experiences. One of my favorite projects was under Prof. Jaya Sreevalsan Nair\'s mentorship, where I worked on extracting and analyzing map images from research papers. Using advanced techniques like VGG16 and Detectron2, I developed an automated system to classify and annotate these images. This project really honed my skills in machine learning and Object detection. Another project close to my heart is the Hindustani Classical Music Recommendation System. I combined my love for music and tech to create a personalized recommendation system using Python, sklearn, and Hidden Markov Models. It was a fascinating challenge to not only create a new dataset from scratch, but also incorporate raga-based and artist relationships into the recommendation algorithm.
