Working under the supervision of Dr. Keegan Moore at the Moore Dynamics and Analytics Laboratory (MoDAL) at Georgia Tech- Simulated the dynamic response of a superelliptical 2D nonlinear vibration absorber (NVA) to reduce tower vibrations, focusing on geometry-driven energy dissipation- Utilized MATLAB and the PACE supercomputer to run parametric simulations varying the superellipse exponent, n, for uniform impactor engagement across multiple excitation angles and velocities- Built a model to map areas of contact and compared energy dissipation with and without the NVA across different n values, documenting performance differences to assess the most optimal geometry.
