My \"data\" journey started several years ago when I put in place metrics and alerting based on extractions I was making on our division activities: my motto was you cannot improve it if you cannot measure it! The journey continued with creation of more specialized graphs using I would say standard technologies. Lately I got familiar with Data Visualization tooling, such as QLIK and Tableau, which are heavily used in the Big Data world where I am currently working now since two years.Indeed this domain let me understand that visualizations are just the - still very imporant- tip of the iceberg and that in order to get a good representation of what\'s happening behind the scene your platform needs to acquire and transform data so that they are respecting the format you expect, so that they are simply usable by your applications and also in order to impose the data quality governance rules your organization has decided to apply.The journey continues on this vast data ocean, rather than simply data lake.
