ABOUT VINCENZO GIORDANO
After my M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico in Turin, I continued my thesis work during an internship in Thales Alenia Space. My work experience had a great improvement in the following three years’ experience in Avio Aero, where I started as “component designer” of aerospace gearboxes (mainly CAD and CAE) and then as “system designer”, responsible for interfaces definition with customers and suppliers, layout control and design harmonization. At the same time I successfully graduated on a second level postgraduate Master in “Propulsion systems Engineering”. In 2013 I applied for a vacancy as Aerospace Engineer Officer in the Naval Aviation and, after a ground course on military aeronautics laws and EH-101 and NH-90 helicopters, I started my job in the IT Naval Test and Evaluation Center, focusing on flight and ground tests and studies of new systems and aircrafts, especially avionics and UASs. My on-field experience on these subjects was enriched by two short courses on “system testing” and “UAS testing” methodology at the US Naval Test Pilot School in Patuxent River (MD).
