ABOUT VINCENT COURTEMANCHE

My core area of expertise is Games User Research. My main focus is on leading teams to identify areas of the business where there is significant risk to be mitigated, and real opportunities to do so at relatively low cost by integrating relevant data, knowledge and perspectives. Typically, this means working across functional areas and shifting the existing perspective/narrative slightly using new data and insights. Sometimes it just requires a standard user research or playtesting program. To help make sure I can deliver more value than people usually expect of user research I’ve been diligently developing the following skill set. Goal setting, coaching, resource planning, tools/processes deployment and other team management skills. Strategic planning of programs and projects. Core user research skills, including mixed methods and multi phase research design, and advanced qualitative and quantitative methods/analysis. Communication and presentation skills across various channels/context, including 1-1 relationship building, coaching, data and insights delivery, strategic status updates, group presentations, and more. Long-term and ongoing advocacy, including some minimal change managementI have a track record of unlocking new growth opportunities for already market-leading products, elevating the user research function in large organizations, and developing innovative methods, tools and processes.I’m passionate about my work and the impact that data and insights can have on both a business and its patrons. I believe most businesses are tapping into less than 20% of the value available to them through this data and these insights.
