Mission: To enhance the learning experiences and career opportunities for HBCU students interested in pursuing a career in the sports & entertainment industry.• Set the strategic vision, and operational priorities, while leading all business operations for the organization and staying informed on the needs of the HBCU community and the sports & entertainment industry.• Develop and maintain relationships with global sports brands establishing a partnership roster of 11 organizations contributing a total of in 2023 – representing a 120% increase in partners and a 132% increase in total contribution year-over-year (YoY) – in addition to maintaining a 100% retention rate YoY. • Partnership Roster: Black Sports Business Symposium, Fanatics, Golden State Warriors, Jacksonville Jaguars, LEARFIELD, Minnesota Twins, NASCAR, Nashville Sounds, Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Rays, Tepper Sports & Entertainment, TurnkeyZRG, and Wasserman.• Manage all day-to-day business operations and the development and oversight of internal staff, board of directors, alumni board of advisors, community of supporters, and case study partners.• Oversee all matters related to program development and execution for all BSBA programs including the month of mentorship, business of baseball seminar, virtual career fair, player representation masterclass, and our 14-week flagship program which includes in-person experiences and a case study competition.• Established relationships within the HBCU ecosystem to allow our organization to serve as a credible and effective liaison to the sports industry specific to talent acquisition with the scope of curriculum and placement touching all facets of the business: • Our community includes 96 alumni, students representing 50+ HBCUs. • The placement rate for Academy Members (alumni) in the sports industry is 70%.
