ABOUT VINCENT HSU
As a physician, I discuss major public health crises and the data behind these. Data-based communication highlighting trends accelerating these problems helps us understand the why and how to take action. Some of these crises include:· Emerging infectious diseases – largely affected by intersection of animals & environment with people. One Health. Examples include (but are not limited to) COVID-19, Monkeypox and Ebola.· Extreme weather caused by climate change: heat, hurricanes, drought· Disparate health outcomes due to racial and socioeconomic injusticeBeyond education, I believe in empowering fellow physicians and medical students to live healthy lifestyles that combat burnout. For me, these activities include music, biking, and long walks with my wife and children.
