Leads business development efforts to originate LIHTC construction and bridge loans in Illinois and Michigan. Develops strategy for LIHTC loan growth in collaboration with my equity and credit teams to satisfy CRA requirements and maximize our community impact. Structures and closes $100MM of LIHTC loan transactions annually. Negotiates loan terms with developers and syndicators and facilitates the credit approval process. I lead the closing team by reviewing legal documentation and coordinating collection of all third-party reports on behalf of the Bank including the plan and cost review, appraisal and environmental reports.Manages relationship with affordable housing developers as their primary point of contact at the Bank. Cross-sells bank products in collaboration with Capital Markets and Treasury Management. Leads our middle office and asset management team (Construction Loan Administration, Portfolio Management, Credit Risk and Treasury Management) throughout the life cycle of the loan (origination to exit) to ensure a positive customer experience and to mitigate repayment, compliance and reputational risk to the Bank.
