ABOUT VINCENT ESCROUZAILLES
Within ALSTOM Company since 2008, I am today power electronics engineer in charge of power semiconductors validation for traction equipments- My missions consist in:o leading the validation of new semiconductors technologies for traction converters.o Evaluate the new power semiconductor technologies in order to introduce it in our future converters- After 10 years of experience in power electronics, I have now strong knowledges in high voltage power semiconductors and power electronics. From 1,2 kV to 6,5kV I have experienced several technologies as silicon IGBT and SiC MOSFETs- I’ve also had the opportunity to work on the first traction converter for Metro application that use capillary pump loop cooling system. This project allowed me during 3 years to get experiences in high power converter (>100kw) design and validation. This converter was tested during 2 years in the field on Paris metro Line 1 with success. it was a realy constructive aventure!
