ABOUT VINCENT CAPATI

I am an intellectual property attorney with a robust technical background, holding a doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences and an MS in regulatory science. My expertise lies in intellectual property transactions and patent litigation, particularly within the life sciences and high-tech sectors. My practice is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals by providing strategic advice and practical solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of intellectual property law.In my current role at Nixon Peabody LLP, I represent and counsel clients on a variety of intellectual property and corporate matters. I leverage my advanced education and industry understanding to help companies develop and execute forward-thinking IP strategies. This ensures they can identify, develop, and monetize their intellectual property effectively. I collaborate closely with universities and other research organizations, assisting them in navigating the complexities of licensing, research transactions, and operations. I support a broad range of commercial transactions, providing comprehensive legal support to drive business growth and innovation. And, I co-lead our Accelerators & Incubators team at Nixon Peabody. My previous experiences include roles at the Food and Drug Administration, PORTAL at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women\'s Hospital, community and teaching hospitals, United States District Court, and outside counsel private practice, where I honed my skills in, and all of which provide the lens from which I view, intellectual property law and corporate matters.
