ABOUT VINCENT AMU
Dr Vincent Amu, currently the Founder/Group CEO of Oildynamix Ltd, Geoprobex Ltd and Amukinder Ltd, is a highly experienced German trained Engineer with over 30 years of total career experience of which 25 years are in the oil and gas industry. He spent 15 out of the 25 years in the oil & gas industry in mid-level and senior leadership positions with such reputable international companies as GE, DNV, Halliburton, Applus RTD and Aker Solutions. He held the positions of Engineering Manager/production enhancement, Regional Manager-North West Europe & North Africa and Regional Manager UK in his last three companies respectively. Vincent has in the last 8 years of career been making waves in the mining industry in Congo DRC and Nigeria, where he hold majority shares in the two mining companies. Vincent is a very commercially astute professional especially in business strategies, business merger and acquisitions. Dr Amu’s international experience spans across Germany, the UK, the US, Nigeria and Libya/North Africa, where he has used his multi-linguistic skills (English, German, French, Nigerian and Arabic) in successfully leading multi-cultural and multi-discipline teams and projects. Vincent obtained his M.Sc. and Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) degrees from the prestigious Technical Universities in Germany namely the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) and the Technische Universität Dresden respectively. He also holds B.Eng degree in Civil Engineering and PgD in Business Management from the Enugu State University of Technology- Nigeria. Dr Amu attended the prestigious and one of the premier colleges in Nigeria - Christ the King College Onitsha. He is a charted engineer with the UK Engineering council, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Fellow of the UK Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, member of the Oil & Gas UK, Subsea UK. and German Environmental Engineering Association. Other areas of expertise include satellite-based exploration technology using Thermovision Tomography (TVT), reservoir engineering and production enhancement, pipeline engineering, Risk Management, Risk Based Inspection RBI, Optimal Replacement Time and Lifetime Extension of engineering plants. He is also a Certified Professional Mentor and Competency Assessor and was a finalist at the UK Mentoring Award 2008.
