ABOUT VINCE GADDIS

I\'m Vince Gaddis, and I’ve spent over 9 years building, leading, and evolving quality assurance practices across complex SaaS, insurance, and e-commerce platforms. My career has been rooted in one principle quality is not about validating features, it’s about protecting users, businesses, and systems from failure. From government healthcare integrations and military systems to enterprise e-commerce and mobile platforms, I’ve led end-to-end testing efforts where reliability, compliance, and trust were non-negotiable.As my responsibilities grew, so did my scope. I’ve directed QA teams, owned release strategy, modernized testing frameworks, and partnered closely with product, engineering, and leadership to surface risk early and make informed delivery decisions. Colleagues know me as someone who brings clarity under pressure, who asks the uncomfortable questions, and balances technical rigor with strong communication and mentorship. I take pride in building teams that think critically, test intentionally, and understand the real-world impact of what they ship. That mindset naturally led me into AI safety work. As organizations began embedding AI into high-stakes systems, I saw a familiar pattern models passed functional QA while harboring serious safety, compliance, and business-logic failures. Traditional testing approaches weren’t designed to challenge AI systems the way real users, attackers, or regulators would. I shifted my focus toward adversarial and red-team testing to expose those blind spots before they caused harm.As an AI Safety Specialist, I don’t teach how to use AI.I teach how AI fails — and how to catch it before it becomes expensive. My work focuses on prompt injection, hallucination detection, bias evaluation, jailbreaks, and compliance risks across regulated and consumer-facing environments. I approach AI the same way I’ve always approached critical software by assuming it will fail in unexpected ways unless rigorously challenged. The goal is not theoretical safety, but practical resilience. What connects my QA career and my AI safety work is the same core skill set systems thinking, risk analysis, clear communication, and accountability. I help teams see what they’ve missed, understand why it matters, and address issues before they escalate into legal, regulatory, or reputational damage.
