Retired no more.In November 2020, MCSO Sheriff Rick Ramsay appointed me as the Director over the Special Investigations Division (SID)- Major Crimes Unit, Special Operations Unit (Narcotics), HIDTA, and Traffic Unit, where I continue to serve today.In 2016, I retired after 30+ years in state and county law enforcement. A majority of that time was spent in Miami, SW FL, and the FL Keys in patrol, investigations, and supervision. I was fortunate to have experienced a broad diversity of criminal investigations, dignitary protection details, high liability training, tactical operations (SWAT), and mutual aid (disaster) responses.After my 2016 retirement, I remained with MCSO as a Reserve Deputy. In 2018, after the MSD school tragedy, I returned as a SRO. The following year, I was reassigned to my former Major Crimes Unit position as a Detective and focused on cold cases and other priority cases up until I assumed the Commanders position.Additionally, I maintain a position on the MCSO Dive Team-Search & Recovery.
