About Vinay Ramesh
My focus today is a) Enabling sustained economic growth in India b) Helping create social impact at scale and c) leveraging my experience, learnings and capital to help startups to scale profitably. In my past life, I co-founded and led Analytics Quotient (AQ), a global Analytics organization that had 700+ people across offices in 4 different countries. During my 10+ years as an entrepreneur I played several roles including running Sales, driving Customer relationships, managing the Finance function and eventually the CEO. I led the sale of AQ to Kantar (then part of WPP) and spearheaded its integration into the Kantar business. After integration, I ran the Analytics business for Kantar in North America as well as running the Analytics delivery COE in Bangalore for 2 years. As I was thinking about my future during my last couple of years at Kantar, I found myself in India at the peak of the Delta wave. I started volunteering out of a sense of helplessness and soon found myself a core member of one of the largest volunteer driven relief efforts in India. We raised millions of dollars and helped provide oxygen relief across more than 50 districts in 5+ states. In the process, I also discovered my passion for social impact. During my years as an entrepreneur & business leader, I was focused on delivering fast yet profitable growth with a laser focus on customer satisfaction and the best employee experience. I am now looking to leverage my experience and learnings in the social sector in India. I work pro-bono as the COO of Foundation for Economic Development focusing on enabling sustained economic growth in India. I also work with a few NGOs in India and enable them to continue to deliver deep impact and do it at scale. I am also an angel investor in several startups with a few successful investments over the past few years.
