About Vinay Kariwala
My two decades of professional experience spans across control systems, digitalization of industrial processes and multiphysics simulation. Diverse roles as a researcher, professor, technology manager, and business leader have provided me with a 360 degrees view of technology. My atypical journey involved derivation of Theorems with no practical applications in sight leading to more than 100 publications during my academic career in Canada, Norway and Singapore. On the other hand, I have cultivated market for a deep technology product at SankhyaSutra Labs, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited. Currently, I lead a team an R&D team dealing with development of Relays at Hitachi Energy. My capabilities in innovation and leadership have been recognized through 11 prestigious awards.Having lived in four countries and travelled extensively, I possess a broad perspective. I further augment my knowledge through reading, podcasts, and audiobooks. My interests span a wide range of topics, including technology, mythology, philosophy and business fundamentals. One of my greatest strengths lies in my systematic approach to problem-solving. I thrive in uncertain situations and take pride in my ability to make informed decisions even in the face of ambiguity.In addition to my professional pursuits, I am an aspiring blogger and a value investor in the making. I want to spread awareness about personal finance, especially in youth. I am keen to share my experiences with budding entrepreneurs and help them succeed.
