Job Description: Pulsation and Surge Analysis (BOSpulse & AFT Impulse) Pulsation Frequency Analysis (PFA) – BOSpulse- Perform pulsation analysis for reciprocating pumps according to API 674 using BOSpulse software- Model and evaluate piping systems (metallic, FRP, GRE) for pressure pulsations, mechanical resonance, and vibration risks- Identify critical frequencies and recommend design changes or dampening solutions- Prepare technical reports summarizing analysis results, risks, and mitigation strategies. Surge Analysis – AFT Impulse- Conduct surge and transient analysis for pipelines carrying hydrocarbons and cooling water using AFT Impulse- Simulate events like pump trips, startups, and valve closures to predict pressure surges and vacuum conditions- Recommend mitigation measures such as surge tanks, air valves, and optimized valve operations- Document findings and provide operational guidelines to minimize transient effects.Focus: Ensure system reliability and protect pipelines, pumps, and valves from pressure-related failures, following codes such as API 674, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, AWWA M45, and AWWA M51.
