Enforce compliance with the Factories Act, 1948, Telangana Factories Rules, 1950, and company-specific EHS policies. Develop and implement site-specific safety procedures and permit systems (Hot Work, Confined Space, Electrical Isolation, etc.). Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HIRA, and monthly safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Ensure effective control measures for high-risk operations like chemical handling, welding, lifting, and working at heights.Lead root cause analysis for incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions. Maintain and analyze accident/incident statistics to identify trends and reduce recurrence.Conduct induction and periodic refresher training on EHS practices, PPE usage, emergency preparedness, and fire safety.Promote safety awareness through toolbox talks, posters, mock drills, and campaigns.Coordinate emergency response drills for fire, chemical spills, and medical emergencies in collaboration with the ERT team. Ensure availability and functionality of fire protection systems, safety signage, and first-aid facilities.Perform routine inspections of plant areas, utilities, chemical storage zones, and contractor work sites.Verify statutory compliance for pressure vessels, lifting tools, firefighting equipment, and PPE standards.Evaluate and monitor contractor safety performance and ensure adherence to safety requirements before, during, and after project execution.Maintain all safety-related records including training logs, inspection reports, and statutory documents.Prepare and submit monthly EHS performance reports to management and coordinate during audits.Participate in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 audits and drive continual improvement initiatives for workplace safety.Recommend engineering and administrative controls to minimize risk and enhance process safety culture.
