I bring a global, multi-sector perspective to the boardroom with 15+ years of experience leading legal, governance, and compliance functions across India, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the US. As General Counsel and a strategic advisor to management and promoters, I have partnered closely with leadership teams in high-growth and regulated industries, delivering large-scale M&A, cross-border integrations, compliance, governance, and enterprise risk management.Having built and scaled legal teams and compliance frameworks for listed and unlisted companies in Thailand, India, and Indonesia, I understand the governance expectations of diverse regulatory environments. My experience closing complex industry defining transactions enables me to contribute meaningfully to inorganic growth strategy, risk oversight, and stakeholder governance.I’ve worked across sectors—NBFCs, mining, VSF, textiles, carbon black, chemicals, and IT—and across geographies including Japan, Southeast Asia, China, Europe, and the US.Today, as General Counsel of Svatantra Group, I lead all strategic legal initiatives, proactive risk mitigation & management and practical advice catering to business requirements while maintaining governance and compliance outlook for a fast-growing financial services group. I recently closed two landmark transactions:A first-of-its-kind acquisition of an equal-sized MFI, andA crore PE raise, the largest in the sector.Certified as a DPO by DSCI, I am deeply involved in preparing organizations for emerging challenges in privacy, governance, technology, and AI. I’m passionate about being a strategic partner to the C-suite, enabling new business streams, mitigating risk proactively, and building legal and compliance functions that scale with ambition.
