Peace and Hope programs are dedicated to provide wholistic care to survivors of sexual and other types of violence and injustice, particularly women and children. These services include legal representation; medical care; a home to protect survivors and help them in their restoration process (for victims of rape and their babies) called \"Casa Hovde,\" education support; psychological counseling; etc. Peace and Hope also supports programs for indigenous leaders training (to defend the rights of their communities against the government and corporations); empowerment programs for people with disabilities; sign language training for deaf children, their parents, and public school teachers; human trafficking prevention campaigns; empowerment of excluded communities; nutrition in rural areas in the Andes, relief in case of natural disasters, etc. PHI also runs the ANDEMOS International Volunteers Program called people who would like to travel, work and learn with our teams in Latin America.
