ABOUT ANTOINE VILLATTE

During my 5 years as a project manager, I noticed that data was a ressource that is poorly understood and underused in many companies. On the one hand, we rely more and more on technologies that we understand less and less. On the other hand, I think that there is no reason that this pattern should apply to data science. Even the most basic use of Excel sheets when managing a project can reveal patterns and make a manager analyse the data available to him to help his decision making. This fact was what progressively led me over the years in the path to data science. For better or worse, this is how I see data in modern companies. Programming is an essential tool for manipulating data, but data analysis and inference are essential tools for a data scientist, and I had the opportunity to see these talents being used daily in teams that weren\'t professionals of the craft. The methodology and potential necessary for data science are already present in a large number of companies, and the only things that are still lacking are the tools and training, which is why I believe that many businesses are just one step away from a complete data-driven transformation. By becoming a data scientist with my experience in project management, I hope to help them make that final step, like I did in the past
