ABOUT VIKTORIYA TORCHINSKY-FIELD

I am a legal executive, a leader, and a top talent scout with deep experience in private practice and in-house, focused on healthcare, life sciences, health services, and insurance industries. I excel at distilling complex concepts and technical information into actionable strategy, as well as building and motivating high-performing teams. I oversee public company/SEC and external auditor reporting. I have developed, integrated, and led teams of different sizes, delivering a record of litigated wins, deals, negotiated outcomes and declined government interventions, including where industry peers did not succeed. I lead and sponsor cross-functional projects bringing together legal, regulatory, compliance, and business stakeholders to enable and accelerate enterprise strategy. I am a Board advisor and member. Although my instinct is to lead, I am also skilled at fostering collective responsibility, collaboration, and community engagement. I have served my community through non-profit Board work, DEI leadership initiatives, as a founder of a corporate Volunteer and Pro Bono Program, and as a mentor and champion. I chair and speak frequently at industry events, including those sponsored by the Defense Research Institute, the American Conference Institute, the Association of Corporate Counsel, and The Compliance Week. A first-generation immigrant and a political refugee from the Former Soviet Union, I am a graduate of The University of Illinois/The John Marshall Law School, the University of Maryland, and Kyiv State University/Teachers College. I am an enthusiastic squash mom who regularly embarrasses her teenager by cheering in two languages.
