As Information Security Officer at Festo, I help make sure our global IT stays safe, sane, and several steps ahead of whatever the digital world throws at it. My job? Balancing standards, risks, audits, and cloud security—without losing my sense of humor (or my Wi-Fi connection).In a nutshell: I support the development and implementation of our global IT security strategy. That includes everything from ISO/IEC 27001 and NIS2 to a healthy dose of common sense. I work closely with international teams, keeping our systems secure, our audits in check, and our developers just the right amount of paranoid (in a good way). Core Responsibilities & Expertise:Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) – Building, improving, and occasionally debugging ISO 27001 and NIS2 complianceIT Risk Management – Spotting risks before they become headlinesSecurity Audits & Assessments – Internal, external, and sometimes existential auditsIT Compliance & Governance – Translating frameworks like BSI, CIS, NIST, GDPR, and TISAX into real-world actionsIncident Management – Coordinating security responses, minus the panicNetwork & System Security – Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM… and knowing which cable to unplug whenCloud Security – Keeping our heads in the cloud(s), but with our data securedIdentity & Access Management – Helping the right people get in, and keeping the wrong ones outBusiness Continuity & Disaster Recovery – Planning for the worst so we can get back to business fastDevSecOps Support – Guiding development teams toward secure code without slowing them down (too much)
