About Vikram Vasudevan
I\'m a dynamic and meticulous individual who possesses a deep-seated enthusiasm for Wireless Communications. My background includes serving as a Project Associate in the Wireless Research lab, led by Prof. Chockalingam. This transformative experience marked a turning point in my journey, exposing me to research endeavors centered around Visible Light Communications. It provided me with firsthand insight into the dedication and precision required for successful research, including the implementation of research outcomes into tangible products.Currently, I am dedicated to expanding my expertise in Wireless Communications and Information Theory through my pursuit of a Master\'s degree in Electrical Engineering at USC. I also recently joined Prof. Andreas Molisch\'s research group as a research assistant and am currently involved in wireless channel conducting measurements for estimating the channel parameters for multiple standards (WiFi, Midband, 5GNR) using channel sounders.I am now engaged in project, I am working on a WiFi-based campus-wide localization project using fingerprinting and machine learning. I conduct measurements across campus and process the data with MATLAB\'s WLAN toolbox to obtain beacon packets with vital information. Our goal is to develop and train an ML model to achieve precise location predictions.I\'m eagerly looking forward to collaborating on projects with like-minded individuals who share my passion for this field and would feel thrilled to connect with them.
