About Vikram Bodavula
Vikram Bodavula is a seasoned product manager with over 16 years of experience in the high-tech industry. He started his career as a software developer at Samsung mobile, building the messaging framework for their first ever Linux based mobile operating system. He left Samsung to pursue MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) where he received a pre-placement offer during his summer internship at Microsoft India R&D center in Bangalore. He has been with Microsoft since then working in various product teams and building multiple V0 products driving all things product end to end. He started off his career at Microsoft with the bing ads international marketplace team, leading the monetization for EU, APAC & South America regions.Post learning the basics of the advertising business at the bing ads division he moved to the Microsoft display advertising business. He built the V0 version of the ad campaign management software for Microsoft developers, developing apps for windows store with a small engineering team of 10. He also worked on several moonshot experimental projects with strong sponsorship from his leadership team during his tenure at the display advertising business unit.In his current role, he is helping Microsoft commercial partners, who drive more than 95% of Microsoft’s commercial revenue, grow their businesses. He leads the product management team responsible for the Referrals and Co-sell program at Microsoft. He also has good design skills and passionate about the UI/UX. He has working knowledge of Figma.He has 2 patents issued with another one in the pipeline.He has experience working with teams based out of different countries and cultures [ Samsung Korea, Vodafone Germany, Yahoo Latin America, Microsoft US].
