Assisting each client in understanding the Research & Development Tax Credit qualifications as they apply to their specific company and its operations• Advising and working with each client to make the best use of their existing documentation and their most technical and knowledgeable staff members, to support and document all R&D tax credits claimed • Engagement planning with each client to tailor the performance of the study to meet their tax filing needs, as well as the availability of their subject matter experts who will be participating in the project interview process• Technical advisor to each client and their CTA engagement team for complicated R&D Credit tax issues and questions as they arise while conducting R&D Tax Credit engagements• Final Review of R&D Tax Credit Studies and presentation of the results in a Findings Review meeting with each client• Working with each client to discuss possible ways to better identify some of their less obvious qualified R&D activities and associated expenses• Coordination of engagement team members assigned to R&D studies to preserve relationships and provide continuity in our engagement team’s historical knowledge of each client’s business, and their previous R&D tax credits claimed.• Continuing formal education sessions for all CTA R&D engagement team members • Provide and/or review information requested by Federal and State tax authorities to support R&D Tax Credits claimed as needed
