   Centerline Biomedical empowers physicians with next-generation imaging and real-time navigation solutions to improve outcomes, lower costs and reduce the radiation exposure for patients and caregivers in minimally invasive endovascular procedures. Founded in 2014 as a spinoff of the Cleveland Clinic, Centerline and its dedicated and rapidly growing team are changing the way healthcare is delivered. In 2015, I transitioned from a career in research to founding executive of a startup company preparing to launch its first medical device. While serving as the sole full-time executive, my role was diverse: research, development, testing, regulatory submission, and preparation for market entry, while also driving Centerline’s fundraising, negotiating, marketing, PR and operational efforts.In five years I grew the company from 1 employee to about 15, raised approximately $24 million in investments and grants, and brought our flagship product from a hand-built R&D prototype to an FDA-cleared product prepared for scale manufacturing.Now with a full-time CEO, I sit at the technical helm of Centerline, pushing for a strong market entry while continuing to expand the company\'s technology platform to optimize impact and opportunity.On any given day, I’m as likely to be in the trenches supervising day-to-day operations, assembling electronic circuits, and debugging novel computer algorithms as I am refining our company’s 10-year road map and working with a strategic partner.
