Role Summary/Purpose:Working on Train Handling of GE Transportation Digital Solutions. I am responsible for creating test plans/procedures, executing test plan, preparing test reports for LOCOTROL product line. This includes working closely with System & Software engineers by appropriate test strategy which includes setting up equipment, configuring simulators, run through test procedures and use case creation which meets standards & delivers desired functionality.Essential Responsibilities :• Applies various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC. • Takes ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary. • Applies principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile, CI, Software, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques. • Writes effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored. • Begins to collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans. • Collaborates with Quality Leaders in creating test plans. Implements and configures testing tools and at times help junior staff. Implements system-level integration testing. • Execute, with guidance from senior engineering technical leaders, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements.• Work with System Engineering and Software Engineering to identify scope for validation.• Identify the hardware requirements, set-ups required and plan for procurement.• Document and communicate results of validation.• Troubleshoot setup issues and any issues arising out of testing and test stand.• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Managing Defect Report, hosting defect status call with Development Team and System Engineer, presenting weekly progress call with highest leadership and business.
