About Vikas Verma

I am a Management, Social Development and Communication professional with MBA & 37 years’ experience (16 years in Private sector - Advertising & Marketing and 21 years in Development Sector at United Nations). I am right now working in UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - UNDP in India as the North region head representing the States of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Union Territories of J&K, Laddak,and Chandigarh. My experience has shown that if we need to bridge growing inequality in societies, the private sector has to play a big role in third world countries. My passion is to implement SDG 2030 all across the globe because I see as the only hope for creating a just society. I see a large role for the youth and volunteer organisations, private sector, civil nsociety, CSR and Media in meeting this challenge. I am looking for challenging roles to lead SDG / Resilience building Programmes or lead large sized foundations. I have the competence in conceptualizing and establishing SDG Coordination Centers in large states as well as heading functions related to CSR, program management, advocacy and communication, resource mobilization, brand building and advertising. I possess the inherent ability to be creative and resourceful and has the skill to play diplomatic and negotiating role at highest levels. I love to take up new challenges and have experience in maintaining business controls and ensuring results.
