   Leading the Strategy, Business Development and M&A for the Group. Instrumental in planning and executing the expansion plans for the Group companies (Media, Education, Infrastructure etc). Formulating long and short range strategies for the operating divisions, setting up a review mechanism and providing inputs for pivots, if required. Setting up of the processes for new initiatives. Have extensively worked on cross-border and industry leading domestic M&A transactions and buyout of distressed assets. Have lead one of the largest and extensive industry consolidation exercises including deal germination, negotiation, execution ans integration facets of it. Instrumental in fund raising for the Group companies via capital market transactions or raising of private equity. Have worked extensively on off-shore listing.Contributed significantly in recommending and executing Business Restructuring to achieve better operational and tax efficiencies. Have developed the Business Restructuring of the entire international business of the entertainment business.Have developed excellent working relations with domestic and international banks, legal counsels, rating agencies and regulatory bodies (MIB, Competition Commission etc).Part of the Core Management Group which reviews all the group businesses periodically. Have set up a comprehensive MIS system across the Group companies to facilitate top stakeholders in decision making and monitoring the process. Helps in translating the shareholders\' vision into operational strategies for all the businesses.
