Created a data analytics team in IDC which hadn’t previously existed and set up tracking for all key metrics related to search in Windows Store to effectively analyse the impact of all features that we roll out. Achieved a 5% increase in conversion YoY in search by implementing various features. Revamped the search relevancy formula and incorporated a lot of different signals while collaborating with a lot of different teams. This ultimately helped in deciding the best products to be shown in search results. Implemented translations for products in Store to improve relevancy in multiple markets using Azure services like Azure Translator, Redis, Service Fabric, CosmosDB, etc Implemented a feedback loop system increasing conversion by 3% by itself which gave apps with higher trending installs a higher chance to be placed higher in search results
