About Vijay Poduval
Vijay hails from Kochi, India and he received his under graduate degree from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Bangalore, majoring in Computer Science. He has two years of work experience as a Systems Engineer at Infosys Limited before joining the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University as a Fall 2012 graduate.He decided to switch to the entertainment technology industry because of his love of video games. The MET program provided him the opportunity to marry his passion for Computer Science and Gaming.During his 6 month long internship at Canon, he was inspired by the potential of Augmented Reality while working as a part of Mixed Reality (MREAL) solutions team. Furthermore, the projects he implemented during his computer graphics and vision courses at CMU, have enabled him to better understand this exciting field. After graduation he worked for Metaio Inc. where he developed games in Unity3D using Intel RealSense technology. He would like to work in the gaming or augmented reality based industries as they require creative inputs and produce visually rewarding outputs.
