My experience include the following areas:(a) Formulating the internal audit approach for the financial year.(b) Preparation of Risk Based Audit Plan (RBAP) for the organization (internal/credit/thematic/concurrent audits), approved by the Audit Committee & monitoring its implementation.(c) Ownership of the governing framework for the Internal Audit through the Group Audit Charter/Internal Audit Policy. Ensuring its function wide deployment and continuous adherence of its requirements.(d) Reporting of Internal Audit results to the Audit Committee and to the Board of Directors.(e) Handling regulatory submissions (domestic/overseas regulators)(f) Handling regulatory inspections.(g) Implementation of audit workflow application and related advanced technonogy tools.(h) Data analytics over large sets of data aimed at driving efficiencies, wider coverage and automation of Internal audit execution(i) Compliance & closure of audit reports covering all business groups/support functions. This responsibility has enabled a deeper understanding about functioning of various departments within the Bank(j) External quality assurance reviews of the Internal Audit function in line with standards issued by Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).(k) Audits covering Retail Liabilities (products & branches), Retail/Rural/Corporate Lending, Cards, Debt Servicing, Information Technology, Corporate Centre functions (e.g. Finance, Taxation, Compliance, Operational/Credit Risk, NPA identification/provisioning etc.)(l) Subsidiaries in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Private Equity/Venture Capital, Asset Management, Trusteeship etc.Besides Banking, extensive prior experience in the internal audit function across various industry sectors which include, Insurance (Life & General Insurance), Organised Retailing, Telecom, Media, Automobiles, Petrochem etc.Hands-on experience in implementing Six Sigma/ISO related projects.
