   Oversee operations and improvement projects for the manufacturing arm of specialty industrial piping producers. Manage 65 Machine Operators, assign day-to-day actions, provide direction and support, deliver feedback, and resolve conflicts; coached team to take ownership of specific lines of equipment, and introduced Kanban methods to increase production. Spearhead employee development and training, focus on equipment operations, production best practices, project management, and safety; able to grow maintenance and operator productivity through improvements in production operations. Implemented operational improvements that grew production 40%, introduced new KPI’s related to work order creation and completion, time to complete jobs, and time between job starts. Responsible for facility maintenance and repair, including shear machines, CNC machines, Ironworkers, Saw Machines, Press Machines, Roller Machines, Punch/Drilling Machines, and Beam Splitters. Successfully maintain 85% on-time shipment record, identify inefficiencies, draft updated production plans, and work directly with plant personnel to train, test, and implement production improvements. Managed Paint Shop, outlined production scheduling and priority, monitored and maintained inventory, reorganized shop layout, and designed a new drying area with a controlled environment. Led project to improve the efficiency of robotic welding machine by utilizing Simio digital simulation software; increased arc on time on the welding machine 35%. Increased productivity of the CNC roll machine, tested and optimized new workflow related to the material radius, thickness, length, width, and type; increased CNC production 200%. Tasked by leadership to spearhead the project with a short deadline, developed custom operations, optimized scheduling, and led QA; shipped out all products on time, gained the trust of a new customer, and secured over in rush fees.
