I, however, get eight hours of sleep every night.My journey?I\'ve always been a class topper in school. Since Science and Maths were my favorite subjects, I had finished the ALOHA abacus-based mental math by the time I was 12. My interest in Physics propelled me to take up an MSc. Physics from BITS Pilani with a B.E in Electrical & Electronics. I did reasonably well with both the degrees and realized my love for core Electronics in my junior year. Choosing MSc. Physics has been a bittersweet decision for me. The MSc. degree did delay my graduation by a year but I met some of my closest friends through that journey and also picked up some coding knowledge from them!I was fortunate enough to pursue an internship with Samsung in my final year and joined Xilinx(AMD now) after graduation. At AMD, I worked on the design verification of processors responsible for autonomous driving. Working on critical milestones, and leading some of the most important projects made me happy but I felt something missing. Even after contributing positively, I didn’t think it was the right next step for me. My love for management, interacting with people on a daily basis, understanding a business holistically & thirst to learn more made me think about my life choices constantly. The decision to study further stemmed from there. Finance is a domain that is of particular interest to me. To explore my interest further, I did a few certifications from Coursera, which piqued my interest and I signed up for the CFA. Despite being from a non-finance background, I managed to clear CFA Level II in the first attempt with more than 90 percentile. Currently, I am learning Excel for Financial Modelling and looking to switch jobs and get a break in the Finance industry. In the short term, I dream of working with an IB firm and being part of a live M&A deal. My long-term goals include working in Corporate Finance, working capital management, budgeting and forecasting to take up CFO roles later in my career. In my free time, I read novels, explore new places, play the guitar, and hum to some slow music.
