Project Estimator @PC Construction Company

Assist with the presentation of estimates to clients and subsequent client negotiations, when necessary • Ensure bid documents are ordered timely and in the form and quantity necessary for the estimating team • Prepare and submit for review Conceptual Estimates, Design Development Estimates, Guaranteed Maximum Price Estimates, and Competitive Lump Sum Estimates by performing quantity takeoff, when required based upon a complete understanding of the contract documents • Utilize and maintain proficiency in applicable computerized estimating systems • Inspect project sites and evaluate site conditions • Participate in and thoroughly understand all pricing aspects of each project including front end specifications • Set up the initial Destini estimates and compile estimates for review(s) • Coordinate with other departments (IT, Insurance, etc.) to ensure complete and accurate bid(s) • Prepare value engineering and cost savings studies, when necessary • Review the estimate in detail prior to submission to executives and project team for review • Schedule all divisional, internal estimating, and executive reviews, and take the lead role in the review meetings • Create bid day adjusted estimates • Monitor projects that have been successfully bid and are under construction, so as to learn the actual methods and costs of field operations • Schedule visits to the project sites to compare the estimate plan with actual construction • Submit detailed cost budgets on successfully bid projects to Project Controls • Make or supervise subcontractor and vendor solicitations • Review subcontractor and vendor quotes regarding scope, pricing, and schedule • Prepare turnover documents on successfully bid projects and coordinate the turnover meeting • Ensure the turnover book is completed in a timely manner. • Meet weekly milestone schedules and bid dates • Implement best practices in Estimating.
