In my role as a Law Clerk cum Research Associate to a High Court Judge, I continue to engage deeply with matters relating to Commercial Disputes, Property Disputes, Direct and Indirect Tax, Land Acquisition, and other revenue-related cases, as well as Civil Writ petitions. My responsibilities include thoroughly researching and interpreting complex statutes such as the Commercial Courts Act, Income Tax Act, GST, VAT, Customs Act, Entertainment Duty, Excise Duty, Stamp Act, Co-operative Societies Act, FEMA, FERA, Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, among others, and various regulatory frameworks along with procedural law under CPC and High court rules. I prepare detailed research notes and legal opinions to assist the judicial process for a better understanding of the nuances of each case. Additionally, I analyze past judgments, constitutional provisions, and sector-specific laws, proofread the judgments/orders passed, and assist with other administrative tasks.
