About Victor Lee

With thirty-five years of industry experience, I am actively involved with my clients in improving their overall governance approach and in the development of their strategic planning, including asset allocation and investment policy development, plan design, investment manager evaluation and selection, performance evaluation, continuing education, and the coordination of special projects. I serve a broad array of institutional clients, including major corporations with defined benefit and defined contribution plans, endowments and foundations, and have also worked with public funds and Taft‐Hartley trusts. I am also a shareholder of the firm and serve my clients from Verus’ corporate headquarters located in Seattle, Washington.Since joining Verus in 1990, I have served as the director of manager research where I was responsible for overseeing the evaluation and research of investment strategies, and as head of analyst operations and performance analytics where I oversaw a team of analysts and client reporting operations.I am a graduate of Seattle University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance. I am also currently a member of the finance advisory board for Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics. I have been a longstanding member of the Seattle chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Council and served as a member of their board of directors from 2011 to 2014.Specialties: My areas of expertise involves advising institutional clients on their strategic approach to their investment portfolios, including investment policy development, asset allocation, and investment manager evaluation and selection.

In April 2015, Verus became the new name for Wurts & Associates, as the firm re-branded to reflect the firm’s evolution in both scope of services as well as depth and caliber of investment expertise. Verus was originally founded by William Wurts in 1986.
