ABOUT VICTOR KANG

I study how insects work. This involves looking at their extremely diverse body-parts and probing their function. I previously studied how some specialised aquatic insects attach using a combination of advanced imaging techniques and force measurements. Currently, I am researching how insects use their mouthparts to cut into biological materials. Besides insects, I am interested in biomimetics, sustainability, science communication & outreach, and low-cost open-source devices.
