Maia Collective is a modern motherhood retreat based in Devon. It’s a space for pregnant and postnatal women to rest, reconnect and feel genuinely supported. Founded by a mother and daughter team, Maia Collective blends lived experience with professional expertise. At Maia Collective, we believe motherhood deserves more than survival. We provide mothers with something rare; permission to pause, unwind and be nurtured 🩷.

ABOUT VICTORIA SHAW

I am an NMC-registered midwife, midwifery lecturer and MSc programme lead with a strong commitment to advancing women’s health through education, innovation and system-level change.Alongside my role in midwifery education, I run a freelance clinical advisory service supporting FemTech and digital health companies. I work with teams developing solutions in women’s and perinatal health to ensure their products are clinically credible, inclusive and aligned with healthcare priorities. My focus is on bridging the gap between clinical practice, evidence and innovation.I previously worked as a research associate and midwifery admissions tutor, contributing to the development of midwifery education and supporting future generations of midwives. I also held a role as a maternity clinical fellow with NHS England’s South West regional team, contributing to national maternity transformation programmes. My strengths lie in clinical education, strategic planning, policy translation and building meaningful relationships across academic, clinical and innovation environments. I am passionate about women-centred care and committed to ensuring that innovation is grounded in evidence-based practice that is credible, practical and truly serves the health and wellbeing of women.
