About Victoria Rai

My diagnosis with ulcerative colitis has been critical in shaping my personal and professional interests. Since being diagnosed and beginning my research training, the combination of my clinical and research experiences has empowered me to explore the pathophysiology and mechanisms driving chronic diseases like my own.I am continuing my research endeavors as a PhD Candidate in Cellular & Molecular Physiology at Yale University co-mentored by Michael J. Caplan and Joseph E. Craft leading a project investigating epithelial cell and immune cell interactions in polycystic kidney disease. I look forward to a leadership career in translational research after receiving my doctorate.
