I am very passionate about sustainability & wildlife. I volunteer as a Seal & Sea Lion Docent for the Sierra Club, where I provide environmental education to the public, acting as an ambassador to people who visit from all over the world, many of whom know little about marine mammals. Mainly, I promote safe viewing of our local harbor seal and sea lion colonies, using “verbal judo” (tactical communication, gentle persuasion, and de-escalation tactics).I am an experienced user experience (UX) researcher with a diverse background spanning B2B and B2C industries, nonprofits, and international education sectors. I have a proven track record in project management, ensuring that research projects are executed efficiently, within scope, and on time. My strong analytical and communication skills enable me to translate research findings and insights into actionable, data-driven recommendations. I am a fast learner and I think critically about issues, identifying all sides of a matter in order to make informed decisions.I also hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from James Madison University, where I learned the importance of social, cultural, and historical contexts for understanding relationships between and among individuals and the social structures that make up societies.

   UX researcher on the Search and Location webpages, and the Search process on the Hilton Honors app. Performed the entire qualitative research process from start to finish, averaging 4-6 studies per quarter (identified research questions and appropriate methodology, screened and recruited participants, drafted discussion guides, conducted interviews, analyzed results, and communicated insights to stakeholders).Regularly collaborated with Product, Dev, Analytics, Experimentation, Design, and Accessibility to strategize, identify research needs, and translate findings into actionable results. Collaborated with other researchers, and provided consulting services to other teams. Advocated for the user throughout the entire process.
