About Victoria Kim
Victoria Kim (she/her) is a Research Assistant for the Migration Policy Institute\'s National Center on Immigrant Integration Policy. She produces qualitative and quantitative analyses of early childhood education and care (ECEC) and K-12 education issues, policies, and programs that affect children from immigrant and refugee families. Her focus areas include policies and practices responsive to immigrant-background children and youth that improve access to high-quality ECEC and K-12 services, promote meaningful engagement and partnership with their parents, and address the specific needs of young dual language learners and English learner students.Victoria is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Education in Youth and Social Innovation and African and African American Studies. She has focused her studies and career on utilizing education policy to fight for increased access to high-quality educational opportunities for low-income students and students of color. She has particular interests in youth advocacy, inequities in high-quality childcare access, and educational equity.
