ABOUT VICTORIA MILLER
I am a young urbanist trained in Melbourne, Australia and currently working in Santa Cruz, California. I hope to one day return to the SF Bay Area to bring all I have learned and give back to my community.My current role at the County of Santa Cruz focuses on zoning review of residential, commercial, and parks/recreation/open space projects in rural and urban settings spanning from the Santa Cruz Mountains down to Monterey Bay. I have experience working in strategic planning and am eager to build my planning strategy and policy making skill set with a particular interest in land use zoning, housing and heritage/historical policy. I am also fascinated by the planning-adjacent fields of urban design and landscape architecture.When I am not at work, I enjoy pickleball, Pilates, meditation, playing sudoku and live music. I also enjoy creative pursuits such as beading, ceramics, floristry and drawing. When I can get away from the office, I am an avid traveler and adventure seeker and love to scuba dive, hike, and camp.I am eager to connect with other professionals in planning and adjacent industries in California, the US, and across the globe.
