About Victoria C. Rooks
Every child deserves to live happy and be safe from harm. While working in emergencies and crisis managment in the US and internationally I have seen systems that are in place to help communities respond and recover from disasters, but rarely do they account for the unique emotional, physical, and developmental needs of the children who live there. Through my experiences in direct work with children, program managment, and educational achievements, I have developed a holistic approach to Child Protection and Wellbeing that is accessible, academically informed, evidence-based, and most importantly, fun. I am deeply committed to helping identify these gaps, and supporting local, regional, national and international partners in addressing them through the reduction of risk factors and the strengthening of protective ones.
