As a Team Leader for Holman/ ARI Accident Management, I have 16 direct reports. 3 Damage Engineers and 2 Administration handlers, under the Damage Engineer umbrella and 11 Motor Claims Handlers. My team are diverse, each having their own qualities and strong opinions, being able to listen and hear them empowers me to help them all progress in their careers as they see fit. I encourage them all to think for themselves and entrust them to make decisions with guidance. Being patient allows me to coach and build on their skills, guiding them and encouraging them to successfully stretch themselves. I am a hands on Team Leader, remaining up to speed with legislation and the Motor Industry along with my own qualifications.Whilst being a people person, the normal day to day duties that are carried out include, but are not exhaustive, daily reporting, work allocation, feedback to clients, technical referrals, meeting clients and team reviews; successfully managing clients repair downtime all the while adhering to their bespoke package. In doing so, an understanding of each clients needs from a customers point of view for me is paramount to be able to offer exceptional customer service. Building the working bond is also testament to a great business relationship. As a result any third party supplier the client uses to help their fleet remain roadworthy also become part of my portfolio, and this bond is extended to help a smoother repair transition. The trust and respect that is built allows me to have conversations with clients enabling us to be able to agree to disagree with each other and make the correct informed decision reinforcing a healthy working partnership. I have this relationship with many of our customers. I am proud to be able to do this, and with confidence.
