I currently work at Ameripath South Florida (fully owned by Quest Diagnostics), located in Pompano Beach, FL. This job involves reading a large variety of anatomic pathology cases (I personally read about 14k cases/year, which is about 60 cases/day) including but not limited to breast, prostates, bladders, GI biopsies, GYN, orthopedic, oral, ENT and dermatopathology. I am also the head of the Hematopathology section of the lab and I read most of the hematopathology cases that are received at this site. I also have a large cutaneous lymphoma consult practice and I receive consults from dermatopathologists all across the country.I am also the assistant medical director for Ameripath South Florida. I am involved in the hiring process of new pathologists, daily management meetings and decision making for the lab.
